Work AT Home Dad Get Rich Quick Is A Fantasy.

March 14, 2010 By: Johna Snyder Category: Internet Marketing

“If it seems too good to be true, it probably is”. This saying refers quite accurately to anyone who tells you that the internet will make you wealthy automatically. It is all hype. The internet can generate wealth-that is not hype. But don’t let anyone try to convince you it will be easy. If your financial plans depend on immediate, automatic wealth, you could face ruin. Chain letters, pyramid schemes, and promises of quick, massive profits enrich only the ones selling you their schemes. Slow but steady wins the six figure income. Getting involved in these projects that entice you with screenshots of huge PayPal deposits can not only waste money, they can shatter your hopes.

There was a song out a while ago called “Don’t believe the hype.” That’s what I’d encourage you to bear in mind now. On the internet, especially in the realm on internet marketing, there is so much exaggeration and bragging. We see images all the time of people floating among mountains of cash, standing in front of mansions, yachting off the coast of the French Riviera, and leaning against Lamborghinis and Ferraris. In fact, I just today received an email about an automatic cash pumping machine.

How to get rich quick

When you see an email or an ad that implies you can pull money out of a magic ATM without explaining exactly how you were going to get the money into the ATM, just delete it, turn it off or throw it away. That is what I do. Such unfounded claims are a waste of my time and yours. They will distract you from the real hard work you need to do.

Why is it that whenever we thinking of online marketing, we conjure up images of instant riches? Don’t you appreciate rewards more when you have worked to earn them? When you develop your skills as a marketer, you know that you control your own destiny to a certain degree. You are not dependent upon the vagaries and whims of people who may not have your best interests at heart.

As you work to build your business, you are also developing the mindset, skills, talents and work ethic that will allow you to create your wealth. Even if you go through a rough period and end up losing all your money, you will still have the confidence to rebuild your business and your wealth. Wealth starts with your thoughts – just ask Donald Trump or Robert Kiyosaki.

Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki are examples of this ethic. Donald Trump once was asked what would become of him if he were no longer rich. He was not worried. He replied he would just make himself rich again. He had already done it and the process was not a mystery to him. He had confidence in his mental abilities and he knew he had the will and the motivation needed to create wealth over and over.

He understood becoming wealthy is a process, not an overnight event. You must be in it for the long haul. If you want to buy into any offline business franchise, the head office will not consider you a viable franchisee if you are not able to wait a year or more to just break even. Business is business, offline or online. You need to apply the same clear- headed realism to both, and abandon unrealistic expectations of dazzling wealth in less time than it takes to grow a tomato plant.

If you are one of those who say they will give their online business 60 to 90 days to bear fruit, then you will have better luck with the tomato plant. That is just not enough time for any business. You must become serious about building up your business, and be willing to invest the energy it takes for the time it takes. Think one to three years rather than one to three months. This is the kind of commitment it will take for you to eventually be able to leave your present job or become independently wealthy. Don’t underestimate yourself and don’t settle at the start for less than your dream.

It’s important as you build your business to consider what you want out of life. Although getting rich quick is tempting, getting rich forever is better.
